What we do: Seasonal leagues and clinics with coaching, officiating, and family-centered match days that include Samoan protocol, music, and language moments.
Who it’s for: Ages 8+; beginners welcome.
Schedule: Year-round cycles (8–10 weeks/season) at local parks (e.g., Victoria Park, Carson).
Outcomes we track:
Purpose: Create visible leadership roles for women and girls in sport and community.
What we do: Coaching apprenticeships, umpire/captain certification, public-speaking and facilitation workshops, and near-peer mentorship.
Who it’s for: Middle school–adult women/girls; inclusive of all experience levels.
Outcomes we track:
Purpose: Build life skills, academic confidence, and cultural identity through sport.
What we do: After-school skills labs, homework support, goal-setting, and elder-led culture circles (language, songs, stories).
Who it’s for: Ages 11–18; priority to first-time athletes and low-income families.
Outcomes we track:
Purpose: Celebrate Samoan and Pacific Islander heritage in public spaces.
What we do: Cultural-cricket days, workshops (dance, language, etiquette), and community festivals integrated with matches.
Who it’s for: Open to the public; families encouraged.
Outcomes we will track:
Purpose: Make play safer and more sustainable for families.
What we do: Warm-up & injury-prevention routines, hydration stations, nutrition tips, mental-health resource referrals, and sun-safety education.
Outcomes we will track:
Purpose: Practice tautua (service) by caring for our fields and neighbors.
What we do: Park clean-ups, equipment drives, “buddy” days for new players, and volunteer support for city/community events.
